How do  you motivate your students?

I am sure most of you have the desk drawer full of stamps, stickers or small details to give your students. Unfortunately, these treats usually have a limited impact and stop being significant the moment the pupils get used to them, so you have to continue looking for something new. 

Bitmoji can be your solution (for some time, at least!).  

This software allows users to create personalised avatars and use them in some applications. I guess most of you are familiar with these illustrations, since they are getting very popular in the social media (Snapchat or Instagram), but are you aware of how they can be incorporated in the educational practice?

Your avatar can be integrated not only in your online applications for school (such as Kahoot, your blog, or others regarding your gamification project; but it can also be used as a sticker to reward a determined behaviour or the neatness of the notebook, for example. For students it is quite exciting and they are always expecting what the teacher is going to tell them in the next sticker. 

HOW CAN WE GET IT?

You can download the application for your mobile or download the Google extension for your computer. Once you have followed the steps, the Bitmoji icon will appear beside the address bar on your Google screen while being available from your Gmail account and your mobile. 

When you first access to the software, you will have to set the characteristics of your avatar and then, you can start enjoying the multiple possibilities. If you want to make your own stickers, you can select those pictures you like most in order to copy and paste them in a word file. Afterwards, you just have to print it and enjoy!
